Wilma M. Barger, 69, of Springfield died Monday, Aug. 23, 1999, at her residence. She was born Aug. 25, 1929, in Ball Township, the daughter of William H. and Bertha M. Crouse McClure. She married William H. Barger in 1948; he died in 1994. A son, Darrell, also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Barger retired from the Department of Revenue, where she had been employed as a taxpayer service representative. She was a lifelong resident of Springfield, except for three and a half years when she lived in Riverton. She was a member of 40-Carat Club and the Birthday Bunch.
Survivors: three daughters, Vickie Skelton and Mrs. Terry (Carolyn) Scoggins, both of Springfield, and Mrs. Ken (Marilyn) Boehs of Jacksonville; three sons, Russell (wife, Jacki) and Jack Barger, both of Springfield, and Michael (wife, Sue) Barger of Pekin; 17 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; stepmother, Alberta McClure of Peoria; four nieces; three nephews; and four cousins.
Services: Kumler United Methodist Church, the Rev. Roosevelt Smith officiating. Burial: Oak Ridge Cemetery.
