Mrs. Barger retired from the Department of Revenue, where she had been employed as a taxpayer service representative. She was a lifelong resident of Springfield, except for three and a half years when she lived in Riverton. She was a member of 40-Carat Club and the Birthday Bunch.
Survivors: three daughters, Vickie Skelton and Mrs. Terry (Carolyn) Scoggins, both of Springfield, and Mrs. Ken (Marilyn) Boehs of Jacksonville; three sons, Russell (wife, Jacki) and Jack Barger, both of Springfield, and Michael (wife, Sue) Barger of Pekin; 17 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; stepmother, Alberta McClure of Peoria; four nieces; three nephews; and four cousins.
Services: Kumler United Methodist Church, the Rev. Roosevelt Smith officiating. Burial: Oak Ridge Cemetery.
