Deceased Name: Peter J. Riehl
A Mass of Christian burial will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 8, 1998, in St. Ignatius Catholic Church for Peter J. Riehl, who died April 5 at age 86.
Mr. Riehl was born Nov. 5, 1911, in Prelate, Saskatchewan. He immigrated to Portland as a child. He worked for Portland Woolen Mills for 35 years, retiring as a night superintendent in 1969. After his retirement, he lived in Rockaway for seven years and then in Mount Angel for seven years. He returned to Portland in 1983. He was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church. He married Matilda Cooper in 1935. Survivors include his wife; daughters, Carolyn Ausborn of Sandy, Utah, and Rosemary Muhlbach of Portland; sisters, Joan and Rose Loprinzi, both of Portland; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Interment will be in Gethsemani Catholic Cemetery. The family suggests remembrances to the St. Vincent dePaul Society. Arrangments are by Mt. Scott Funeral Home.
