Lorene Albright was brought into this world on August 5th, 1928, in the town of Minatare, Nebraska, named Lorene Lucille Margheim. Born to an immigrant family from the old country, Lorene grew up in hard working times, laboring in the corn and beet fields of Nebraska as a young girl, next to her Mother, Father, William and Katherine two sisters, Irene and Mary, and three brothers, Herbert, Melvin and William. Lorene was the last surviving sibling of her original family.

The Margheim family work- labor travels eventually led them to Portland Oregon, where Lorene settled in to make this her permanent home. Despite many hard times, Lorene managed to raise four boys into fine and professional men in their various respective fields. Rick Gutwig (wife Cathie), Gary Gutwig (wife Kathy, preceded in death), Douglas Gutwig (wife Diana) and William Gutwig (wife Julie). All of Lorene's sons attended high school and college in Oregon.

In 1976, Lorene met the true love and Soul Mate of her life, and took on the name and life of Mrs. Lorene Albright. Lorene, wife of Clolon "Slim" Albright, shaped a wonderful life together. Always the caring and spirited Wife, Mother, Grandmother and devout Christian, Lorene spent her remaining years with Slim up until his death in January, 2011.

Lorene was very involved with family, church and friends. Being the daughter of German heritage, her food was always the rave of any event. Her sons always boasted that she made the best fried chicken in the world, and was a favorite at family reunions and church gatherings

An avid bowler, Lorene continued to participate on a bowling team league up to the age of 81. Lorene also enjoyed playing cards, traveling, slot machines and fishing.

In addition to her four sons and daughters in law, Lorene is also survived by her Grandchildren, April, Ann, Shanna, Heidi, Gabe, Angela, Samantha, Andrew, Danielle and Christina, along with eleven Great Grandchildren.
