Funeral services will be held at 10 am Monday, March 5, 2012 at Memory Chapel with burial to follow at Masonic Cemetery in Newton, MS. Rev. Bob Taylor will officiate.
Mrs. Roberts was a secretary for the MS State Highway Department and a member of Trinity Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence G. Roberts, Sr.; parents, G. M. Barnett and Ruth Sanders Barnett; daughter, Donia Ruth Roberts; and sister, Mabel R. Johnson.
Survivors include one son, Rusty Roberts and wife Stephanie of Lucedale; two daughters, Gail R. Gary and husband Gordon of Mobile, AL and Peggy Dawson and husband Clyde of Birmingham, AL; two grandchildren; one great grandchild; one brother, J. B. Barnett and wife Eugenia of Meridian, a host of nieces and nephews; and special friend and caregiver Edwina Barber.
The family would like to thank the staff of Home Instead Senior Care and South Central Regional Medical Center for the excellent care given to their loved one.
Visitation will be held from 5 until 7 pm Sunday, March 4 at Memory Chapel of Laurel which is in charge of the arrangements.
