All of the Bott brothers were born in Norka, Russia. Five of them came from Norka, Russia to the USA and initially settled near Sutton, Nebraska: Ludwig, Henry, Peter, Conard and John. One brother, Justice, died in Norka, Russia while serving in the Russian Army.

OBITUARY
John Bott--- John Bott, Son of Eustis and Alice Scheideman Bott, was born on Nov.6,1873 at Norka, Russia. He passed away on Wednesday, June 14, reaching the age of 93 years, 7 months and 8 days. He was baptized and confirmed in the Reformed Church in Russia.

The family moved to America in 1887, settling at Sutton. He was a member of the Emmanuel Reformed Church. On March 13, 1894 he was united in marriage to Anna Elizabeth Schmer. Fifteen children were born to this union, eight of which died in childhood.

Also preceding him in death of his wife Anna, who passed away on July 9, 1945 at the age of 72 years, and a daughter, Mrs Anna Benzel. His brothers have also preceded him.

He leaves to mourn his passing, his children, two sons and four daughters; Mrs. Elizabeth Scheierman of Sutton, Henry of Hastings, Louie of Sutton, Mrs. Alda Monnnett of Portland, Ore., Mrs. Dorothy Johnson of El Paso, Texas., and Mrs. Pauline Cundall of Estes Park, Colo. There are 20 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren, besides many other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services were Sunday afternoon at Emmanuel Reformed Church; Rev. George Brtell in charge. Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Ochsner sang "Sometime We'll Understand" and "How Great Thou Art". Mrs. Walter Maser at the organ.

Burial was in Sutton Cemetery with John Eberhard, Harold Haberman, Edwin Cundall, Henry Brening, Reinhold Ulmer and Henry Stertz acting as bearers. The Kohler Mortuary was in charge.
