Mrs. Vera Gary Hallford

Mrs. Vera Gary Hallford of Geneva passed away Friday, March 2, 2012 at Enterprise Health and Rehab Center. She was 90. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 in the Maple Avenue Baptist Church with Dr. Mike Shirah officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Pittman Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The Family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday starting at 1:00 p.m. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Maple Avenue Baptist church building fund, 1009 West Maple Avenue, Geneva, Alabama 36340.

Mrs. Hallford was born in Jackson County, Florida on December 22, 1921 to the late George Richard and Mary Tharp Gary. She was a member of Maple Avenue Baptist Church and First Baptist Church of Enterprise. She was also retired from the Geneva City School system. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Marvin Hallford; three brothers and three sisters.

Mrs. Hallford is survived by one daughter, Peggy Heneveld (George) of Enterprise; two sons, Ken Hallford (Judy) of Montgomery and Don Hallford (Jackie) of Dothan; three granddaughters, Paige Coppola (Rick) of Little Rock, AR, March Mansell (Trevor) of Cumming, GA, and Jaimie Frey (Jason) of Mobile, AL; two grandsons, Jason Hallford (Pam) of Montgomery and Billy Hallford of Ozark; six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff on hall one at Enterprise Health and Rehab Center for the compassion and care shown to their mother.
