Sister Margaret Younglove, formerly known as Sister Joseph Ellen, died at Mt. Carmel East Hospital on Thursday, March 26, 1998. She was 65 years of age and in the 50th year of her religious profession in the Adrian Dominican Congregation. Sister Margaret was born in Maybee, Mich. to Roy and Theresa (Hess) Younglove. Sister graduated from St. Joseph Academy in Adrian and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Siena Heights College in Adrian and a Master of Teaching degree in Elementary Education from Siena Heights College. Sister spent 30 years ministering in elementary education in Homewood, Ill., Detroit, St. Clair Shores, Grosse Pionte Farms and Harper Woods, Mich. and Assumption, Toledo and Cleveland, Oh. From 1979 to 1997 Sister ministered as chaplain at Mt. Carmel East Hospital in Columbus, Oh. Preceded in death by her parents Roy and Theresa (Hess) Younglove. Survived by 3 brothers, George (Gertrude) Younglove, Flat Rock, Mich., Robert (Betty) Younglove, Carleton, Mich., Wayne (Sue) Younglove, Flat Rock, Mich.; 5 sisters, Grace (Russ) Hudson, Dundee, Mich., Rosemary (Alfred) Cady, New Boston, Mich., Judy (Jerry) Belanger, Fla., Ruth (Ralph) Gendron, Flat Rock, Mich. and Ellen (Raymond) Raymond, Flat Rock, Mich.; many nieces and nephews; friend, Sister Ann Ryan. Visitation will be Friday from 3-8 p.m. at the COTNER FUNERAL HOME, 7369 E. Main St., Reynoldsburg, with a prayer service being held at 7:15 p.m. Sister Margaret will then be transported to Adrian, Mich., where a vigil service will be held on Sunday, March 29, 7 p.m. A funeral Mass will be on Monday, March 30 at 11 a.m., followed by burial in the congregation cemetery. Memorial gifts may be made to Adrian Dominican Sisters, 1257 East Siena Heights Drive, Adrian, Mich. 49221.
