Thomas Schureman was born in Essex Co., N. J., June 16, 1823. His parents were Samuel and Sally (Scuddcr) Schureman, natives of the same place. Mr. S. was educated at New Providence Academy, N.J. He came to this county in 1852. He is retired, and lives in Green Valley. He has held several local offices. Mr. S. was married to Catherine H. Colie, Sept 6, 1846. She died Dec 1, 1857. Mr. S. was again married to Sarah A. Dickinson, March 25, 1859. He is the father of George E., Albert M., Thadora, Cyrus Ellworth, Frederick W., Estella May. Mrs. S. is a member of the Methodist Church.
