Mrs. Lorena A. Garth CONCORD Mrs. Lorena Acton Garth passed away Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011, at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis. Mrs. Garth was born Nov. 11, 1922, in Florence, Ala., the daughter of the late John Whitley Acton and Leona Pearl Collins Acton. She was a homemaker, dental hygienist, artist and teacher. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Hunter Garth, Jr., and grandson, Robert Shawn Fulghum. Mrs. Garth is survived by daughters, Leona Garth Fulghum and husband, Dr. Robert Fulg-hum, of Concord and Margaret Garth Johnson and husband, Russell Johnson, of Calera, Ala.; son, James Hunter Garth, III, and wife, Brenda Garth, of Port St. Joe, Fla.; 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grand-children. A celebration of her life will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2011, at the Chapel of the Fellowship House of First Presbyterian Church, officiated by Rev. Kenneth Craig. The family will receive friends following the service. Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church Music Program, P.O.
