Rochester Post Bulletin - 6 July 1998 - PINE ISLAND -The funeral for Julia D. "Judy" Rubin will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mahn Family Funeral Homes Mahler Chapel in Pine
Island with the Rev. Ruth Phelps of the Pine Island United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Pine Island Cemetery.

Mrs. Rubin, 78, of Pine Island, a retired Rochester Methodist Hospital employee, died Saturday (July 4, 1998) at Pine Haven Care Center in Pine Island where she had lived since 1992. Julia D. Bartholomew was born Sept. 14,
1919, in Sanish, N.D. She grew up there, graduated from Sanish High School and moved to Minnesota in 1940. On March 7, 1941, she married Raymond Leo Rubin in Rochester. He died in 1973. Mrs. Rubin worked at Rochester Methodist Hospital for 21 years before her retirement in 1978. She was a member and Gold Star Mother of Charles Cowden American Legion Post 184 Auxiliary of Pine Island and member of Swanson-Owen VFW. Post 9647 Auxiliary of Oronoco.

Survivors include three daughters, Erma (Mrs. Dale) Horsman of Rochester, Virginia (Mrs. Duane) Jackson of Zumbrota and Carol (Mrs. Stanley) Jackson of Wanamingo; three sons, Charles of Phoenix, Ariz., Leo of Rochester and Bob of Stewartville; 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren;
and one brother, Albert Bartholomew of West Concord. She was preceded in death by one son and one grandson.

Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and an hour
before the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
