William Dobbins was born at Catausauqua, Penn, Nov 22 1861 and died at Denver, Colorado March 24, 1918, aged 57 year and 4 months. He was the eldest son of George and Rebecca Dobbins and is survived by his mother, four brothers and two sisters. He practiced law in St Joseph of fifteen years, but on account of poor health he gave up the practice. He took up residence with his aged parents to assist them and to regain his health. His father George died about two years ago. He went to Arizona and other places in the south and West for his health and on his way home, he was fatally stricken in Denver and Died there. His last words were uttered to his brother, Sam, who reached his side just thirth minutes before he died, "Tell Mother that it was because of her prayers, I die a Christian. Burial was in the Barnard Cemetary. Barnard Bulletin, March 28 1918.
