MRS ALICE ALFORD STEPHENSON
Mrs Alice Alford Stephenson, wife of William Wilson Stephenson, passed away at the Eastern Long Island Hospital, Greenport on Monday June 17th. Mrs Stephenson, who was 77 years of age, had been a resident of the Village of Orient for over 50 years. In November 1955 Mr and Mrs Stephenson celebrated their golden wedding anniversary at "The Cedars", their home in Orient. Mrs Stephen was a member of the Women's Club of Manhasset. Surviving Mrs Stephenson are her husband William Wilson Stephenson of Orient; one daughter Mrs Howard H Sharman of Syosset LI; one son Donald A Stephenson of Manhasset LI and four grandchildren. funeral services were held at the S B Horton Funeral Home, Greenport on Thursday June 20th, Rev John Sargent, pastor of the Orient Congregational Church, officiating.
