Mrs. Mona Evelyn North, 71, of 315 West Riverside drive, south Ionia, died at an
Ionia rest home Friday afternoon following an extended illness. Born in Lyons
township, April 9, 1900, she was the daughter of John W. and Ella Riker Robinson.
She was married to Gerald Taylor in Ionia and later to Clyde North, who died
December of 1968. She had lived in Ionia and Stanton areas her entire life. She
was a member of the Temple Baptist church and also Women of the Moose.
Surviving are a son, Glenn Taylor of Ionia; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Tuttle and
Mrs. Everett Heintzelman of Ionia; nine grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; brother, Gerald Robinson of Ionia, three sisters, Mrs. Velma Peterson of Cutlerville, Mrs. Roy Fuller of Ionia and Mrs. Ralph Smith of Stanton.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at Stone-Kauffman funeral home. Rev.
Marvis Hale will officiate and interment will be at Balcom cemetery.
