Laura Belle Clements was a daughter of Henry D. Clements and Eliza Ann Shain. Laura married 22 December 1880 in Sangamon Co., IL to Robert L. Ealey and they had six children: Pearl Charlotte, Henry Harrison, Orville Owen, Clarence E., Alma "Allie", and one child whose name is unknown. Laura was a member of the Mechanicsburg Christian Church. She was preceded in death by a sister, Alma Mae Clements Hart.

Illinois State Journal, Friday, 18 Mar 1932, page 20 Mrs. Laura Belle Ealey - Of Mechanicsburg, died at 9:50 a.m. Thursday, March 17, 1932 at residence of daughter Mrs. F. M. Spangler of rural route 3, Springfield, age 70 years and 4 months. Survived by two daughters, Mrs. Spangler of city, and Mrs. J. E. Sittler of Moberly, MO; two sons, Henry and Orville of Mechanicsburg; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Will Barger of Riverton; Mrs. Mary Knoles of Illiopolis. Funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m.Saturday at residence and 2:30 at Mechanicsburg Christian Church, Rev. Harold Owens of Edinburg officiating. Interment in Mechanicsburg Cemetery. J. E. Fullinwider directing.
