He is also survived by his son, Brent (Karen) McCombs; as well as granddaughters, Paige Murphy, Hope Spencer McCombs, Jenifer Renee McCombs; a grandson, Christopher David McCombs; eight stepchildren; several stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Navy.
