Eleanor Henderson Bonnet Eleanor Henderson Bonnet was born March 29, 1933, in Evanston, Illinois, and died October 20, 2008 in Wimberley, Texas. She is predeceased by her parents, Hamilton Moore Bonnet and Harriet Ada Henderson Bonnet of San Antonio, TX. She is survived by her sisters, Elizabeth Hamilton Bonnet Markland of Wimberley, TX and Harriet Burns Bonnet McGonigle and her husband John Philip McGonigle of Houston, TX. Additional survivors include her nieces, Catherine Barrett Markland of Whitney, TX and Carolyn Henderson Gray Powers of Arlington, TX; and her nephews, Richard Hamilton Gray of Austin, TX, Timothy Philip McGonigle and wife, Cynthia, of Arlington, VA and Patrick Hamilton McGonigle and wife Kit, of Dallas, TX. She is also survived by her great-nieces and nephew, Alexandra Elizabeth Powers and Lance Stallworth Powers of Arlington, TX and Claire Elaine McGonigle of Dallas, TX; as well as a number of cousins including Ann Elizabeth Atwell of San Antonio, TX, John Burns Henderson and wife Lella, of Cameron, TX and Carol Beard Maxwell and husband Michael, of McKinney, TX. In San Antonio, Miss Bonnet attended Alamo Heights Public Schools and studied with potter Harding Black at the Witte Museum. She also attended The Brown School in San Marcos, TX and the Mary Lee Foundation in Austin, TX. In her later years she lived at Carestone Retirement Home in Austin, TX, Merrill Gardens in San Marcos, TX and more recently Deer Creek Nursing Center in Wimberley, TX. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 26, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 6000 Ranch Road 3237, Wimberley, TX with The Rev. Patrick Gahan, officiating. Interment will be in St. Stephen's Cemetery adjacent to the Church. The family gives special thanks to the staff of Deer Creek Nursing Center and to the personnel of Vista Care Hospice, all of whom attended her during the last few years of her life. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to The Mary Lee Foundation, 1339 Lamar Square Drive, Austin, TX 78704, or St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 2126 Barton Hills Drive, Austin, TX 78704 or to Deer Creek Nursing Center, 555 Ranch Road 3232, Wimberley, TX 78676.
