Born to NED E. LOCKWOOD, and ANNA BELLE CURTIS LOCKWOOD. Loving husband of OSA MAE ENWALL LOCKWOOD, and beloved father of Gwendolyn Faye, living. He had 4 sisters: Mildred Connerly (Dave), Verma Froid/Zummach (Melvin/Otto), Delma Kinnison (Francis), Ethel Enwall (Frank), and 2 brothers, Wilbur, and Ercle.
Lloyd was born in a sod house in the area of Peetz, Logan County, Colorado, in 1910. He graduated from high school in Sedgwick, Sedgwick County, Colorado, in 1929, the year of the Stock Market crash. That event influenced the rest of his life. He managed to find work on a ranch near Encampment, Carbon County, Wyoming, for the first part of the Depression where his sister Mildred and her husband also worked, then he went to Arizona and worked in copper mines in the Globe/Miami area. He and Osa Mae Enwall were married in Globe, Gila County, Arizona, 07 Jan, 1938. After marrying, they tried operating a restaurant in Denver, Colorado, but found that it was not what they wanted to do. About 1940, they went to California where his brother had found work, and settled in the L.A. area. Lloyd found a job with an engineering company where he operated screw-machines and made parts which were vital to winning WWII. He remained working there until he retired in 1972.
He will always be loved and missed by me, his daughter Gwen.
