Robert was born to Simon Fraser of Scotland, and Elizabeth Rutledge of Ireland. He was married to Elizabeth Noseworthy from St. Johns, Newfoundland. Their children were Alice, Eleanor, Beatrice, Robert Jr., and possibly Laura. Because of the nature of his work, Robert placed his children in an Episcopal Orphanage in NYC. Robert was an oiler and then an engineer on ships. He served in WWI. He married Adelaid Crone after the death (by suicide) of his first wife. They lived in Southgate, Calif.
