Bettie Pearson Black was born on April 29, 1925 in Everett, Washington and passed away on March 5, 2012 in San Antonio. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in Seattle and attended the University of Washington. In Feburary 1946 she married Billy Black Sr. at Bethany Presbyterian Church in Seattle WA with a Methodist minister. Then relocated to Houston, shortly after moving to San Antonio, TX in 1956 where she was a active starting member of St. Marks Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening, traveling and was an avid Spurs fan and a member of the World Wildlife Foundation. She spent many days as a volunteer at NEISD elementary schools reading to kids. She believed every child was precious. She is preceded in death by father Carl Pearson Sr., mother Myrtle Lovaas Pearson, and brother Carl Pearson Jr all of Washington., Ex-husband Billy Dyer Black Sr. She is survived by numerous life long friends, son Billy Dyer Black Jr., daughter Andrea and her husband Edward Dombrowski, daughter Joan and her husband Jerry Schott all from San Antonio, TX, three grandchildren Christopher Dombrowski,Michael Schott and Elizabeth Schott. Along with three Great-Grandchildren Jeremy Victor Dombrowski-Dominguez,Cyan Dombrowski Linehan,& Charity Dombrowski-Siler.
