Alice Marie Daugherty, age 78, passed away Sunday, March 4, 2012, in Lincoln, Neb.
She was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa, on April 7, 1933, to the late Marian and Eldora Hrbek Cooper. Alice was united in marriage to Roy Eugene Daugherty on April 29, 1949, in Omaha, Neb., and spent the next 42 years together until his passing on December 16, 1991.
She was also preceded by 2 daughters at birth, Kitty Marie and Snowflower; brothers, Ken and Loren "Dick" Cooper; sisters, Norma Jean Stromquist, Eula Jensen and Nadine Brock; step-sister, Margaret Arch.
Survivors include son, Dennis Daugherty, of Omaha; daughters, Debb Moore (Marc), Cheri Daugherty (Pat), all of Eagle, Neb., and Sheila Daugherty, of North Bend, Neb,; 7 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; brother, Don Cooper, of Wichita, Kan.; sisters, Virginia Berg, of Webster City, Iowa, Dorothy Walker, of Texarkana, Ark.
Visitation Friday, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Bayliss Park Chapel. Graveside services Saturday, 10:30 a.m., Garner Township Cemetery. Family and friends to meet at Funeral Home at 10 a.m., for cortege to cemetery.
