Alex D. Dorame, age 87 of Globe, Arizona passed away on March 2, 2012 at Desert Palm Assisted Living Home in Tucson, AZ.

He was born in Bowie, Arizona on February 14, 1925. Son of Santiago and Sostenes Dorame. As a child Alex moved around a lot since his father worked for the railroad. When settled in Globe he worked as a stock boy at Pounds Grocery store in Globe.

He later joined the U.S. Army during World War II and traveled to Europe, Middle East and Africa. Alex was a Bronze Star Receipient. He enjoyed being outdoors, taking care of his garden, his flowers, feeding and caring for his birds.

He was a lifetime member of the Globe-Miami V.F.W. and the Globe-Miami Latinos Club. Alex was a loving and caring Grandfather and Great Grandfather. His love and memories will live on through each of us. We will miss his smile, but will remember him with joy in our hearts.

Alex was preceded in death by his wife Lupe Dorame in 2008, his sisters Frances Talavera and Charlotte Dorame-Franco, his brothers Ernest and Edward Dorame. Alex is survived by his daughter Eva Dorame of Tucson, AZ and his brother Robert "Bob" Dorame of Globe, AZ, two grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Friday, March 9, 2012 from 4:00 – 6:00 P.M. at Lamont Mortuary Chapel. Rosary will be at 7:30 P.M. at Holy Angels Catholic Church Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Globe, AZ

Interment will be at Globe Cemetery, Globe, AZ.
