Ailene was the daughter of Carver Jordan Murray and Bertha M (Bogue). Carver and bertha married in Delaware County, Indiana, on October 8, 1898. Little Allene had been sick for about a week when she passed away from meningitis at the family's home at 217 N Mulberry Street. Her funeral was attended by family and friends including Mr and Mrs A L Murray from Loon Lake, near Columbus, Indiana; J U Alexander of Windfall, Indiana; and Mr and Mrs Edward Murray of Dayton, Ohio. Carver was granted a divorce from Bertha on October 17, 1905. Both would go on to remarry, Bertha on March 4 of 1906 and Charles on November 28 of that year, and both had additional children.
