Mrs. Robert W. Fallis, 71, active in church work and civic groups, died Sunday at her home, 4130 Mandan Crescent, after an illness of six months.
She was the wife of a Madison dentist.
Born in Cassville, Mrs. Fallis, the former Mary Martha Prior, was married to Dr. Fallis in Cassville in 1905. Dr. and Mrs. Fallis lived in Prairie du Chien before coming to Madison in 1928.
Mrs. Fallis received her education in the Grant county schools and at the age of 16 as give a school teacher's certificate. She was instrumental in organizing the Red Cross chapter and Prairie du Chien during World War I.
Mrs. Fallis was a member of the First Congregational church, the Madison Woman's club, Daughters of the American Revolution, and the Eastern Start chapter and White Shrine.
Survivors besides her husband are two sons, Dr. Robert E. Fallis, Port Townsend, Wash, and Lieut. Col. Reginald J. Falls with the dental corps of the army, stationed at Tacoma, Wash., and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Frautschi funeral home with the Rev. A. W. Swan officiating.
Burial will be in Forest Hill cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Walter F. Schar, Walter Dakin, Prof. J. B. Kommers, Carl N. Hill, Dr. George Orsech, and Louis Graner.
