"Harry Edward Leach was born in Foster, Monroe county, Iowa, July 18, 1900, and died at the Ottumwa hospital Tuesday, October 20, 1925. He was a member of the Ku Klux Klan, Wapello Post No. 33 and of the Modern Woodman of America, Camp No. 103. Mr. Leach was baptized in the Baptist faith at the church in Foster in 1915. He leaves to mourn his loss his mother, stepfather, three brothers, Ray Leach, Willisville, Ill, Roy and Harold Leach, Ottumwa, and three sisters, Mrs. Laura McGill and Ruby and Phyllis Leach of Ottumwa. Funeral services were held last Thursday morning at (:30 o'clock at the First Baptist church, conducted by Rev. John McKee of the Davis Street Christian church. The Ku Klux Klan had charge of the services at Eslinger cemetery, west of Blakesburg. Rev. Mr. McKee assisted."

"Thurs Oct 29, 1925 - The remains of Harry LEACH who was burned to death by an explosion of oil when he attempted to build a fire, was laid to rest in the Eslinger Cemetery Thursday. The service was in charge of members of the Ku Klux Klan."
