Sarah Edna Spencer Agee, 92, of Blue Ridge Rehab Center, Martinsville, died there on Monday, May
20, 2002. She was born Feb. 2, 1910, in Patrick County, the daughter of Robert Bunyan Spencer and Mary Craddock Spencer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband,Ross Lee Agee; a son, T. Lee Agee; three sisters, Cornelia Bowles, Lena Lackey and Judith Ferguson; a brother, Walter Eugene Spencer; and a half brother, Amos Salmons.
She retired from Sale Knitting Co. where she was a knitter, and she was a member of Beckham United Methodist Church.
Surviving are one daughter, Mildred A. Crews of Martinsville; one son, Charlie B. Agee of Houston, Texas; 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at McKee-Stone Funeral Services chapel with the Revs. John Snyder and Tilden Bridges officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Burial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. today at McKee-Stone Funeral Services.
