Darrell Pelham Armstrong, 78, husband of Louise Buchanan Armstrong of 204 Greenpond Road, passed away April 6, 2007, at Greenville Memorial Hospital. He had been in declining health for several years.
Mr. Armstrong was born April 16, 1928, in Greenville County to the late Tyler Dock Armstrong and Evelyn Coker Armstrong. He was retired from Industrial Molding in Torrance, Calif., in 1983 and then from Sew Simple Systems in 1993. He was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Terry, Scott and wife Stacey, and Tony Armstrong; one sister, Joyce Stoddard; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by one son, Johnny Armstrong; and one stepson, James Richard Gray.
Visitation will be 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Monday at Fletcher Funeral Service.
Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Monday at Cannon Memorial Park.
