Donald A. Algren, 51, of Phillipsburg, died Nov. 7, 1973 near Norton, the victim of a truck/train crash. He was born Dec. 21, 1921 at Clay Center. Survivors include his wife, Leona Mae of the home; a daughter, Donice Brown of Minden, Neb.; two sons, Roy, stationed by the U.S. Army in Hawaii and Tracy of the home; and his mother, Mrs. Emma Alm of Clay Center. Burial was in the Garfield Center Cemetery, north of Clay Center.
