My great grandmother Olly was the 3rd child of 5 children born to Helena "Lena" Felsenthal 1847–1929 and Moses Kaufman 1839–1916. Her siblings were Frederick Kaufman 1870–1953, Johan "Hannah" Kaufman 1872–1933, Edith Kaufman 1883–1946, and Belle Kaufman 1886–1966.
She married Harry Herz in Chicago, Cook, Illinois in 1897. Together they had 4 children, Edith "Wadi" Esther Herz 1898–1956, Fanchion Herz 1899–1976, Beatrice "Beats" Herz 1905–1944, and Harry Herz Jr. 1919–2011.
Like her daughters Wadi and Beats, Olly died of colon cancer.
