EDGAR HARBISON SUCCUMBS
Summer Shade and community was greatly saddened Friday, when news of the death of Mr. Edgar Harbison reached here. He passed away at T.B. Hospital at Glasgow after entering the Hospital on Tuesday. He was stricken ill Saturday of last week. Mr. Harbison was a well known farmer, and he had been an Elder of the Summer Shade Christian Church for about 30 years., was also superintendent of the Christian Church Sunday School for a number of years. He will begreatly missed in his home church and community. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lora Depp Harbison, two sons, Richard of Glasgow, and Rollin, at home, three grandchildrn, Mrs. Ben Hardin, Jimmy Harbison, and Stevie Harbison, and one great-grandchild; sisters, Mrs. Lola Depp, Mrs. Wilson Miller, and Mrs. Andrew Miller, of Glasgow, two brothers, Earl, of Temple Hill, and Lawrence, of Glasgow. Funerl services were held at the Christian Church Sunday aftrnoon by Rev: K.H. McCorkle. A large crowd of friends and relatives attended the last rites. Pallbearerswer: R.T. Norman, A.C. Creacy, R.C. Meador, D.R. Palmore, C.P. Simpson, and Clayton Nunnally. Those assisting with the flowers were Mrs. R.C. Meador, Mrs. Ewell Moore, Mrs. Dennis Shirley, Mrs. Charlie Simmons, Mrs. C.P. Simpson, Mrs. Alpha Witty, and Mrs. R.T. Norman.
