Horther, 71, a native of Denmark, who came to the United States when she was seven years old and to Tacoma 53 years ago, died Friday at her home, 401 South 35th Street, following an extended illness. She was the widow of Philip Horther, pioneer fruit and produce dealer, who died in 1932. She was a member of Vida chapter, O.E.S., and of the Degree of Honor. She leaves a son, Philip; daughters, Mrs. Erma Kennedy and Mrs. Meta Dowling of Tacoma; brother, Mathew Yansen, of Tahlequah; grandchildren, Mary and Anne Horther of Tacoma; brother, Mathew Yansen, of Tahlequah; grandchildren, Mary and Anne Horter of Tacoma and Lt. William Gordon Dowling of the U. S. Air Corps in England. Private funeral services will be held Saturday at 3 p. m. at the Buckley-King Funeral Church; burial at Tacoma Cemetery.
