~ Minnie Driscoll Obituary ~

Esther Kent Driscoll of Lexington passed away Aug. 28, 2009, at the Hospice Care Center with her children at her side.

Minnie was born Oct. 30, 1931, to Wyman and Tillie Kent in Ingalls, Kan. She moved to Washington at a young age and was raised in Woodland. Minnie grew up in a large family and had more friends than you could count. She was deeply loved by all.

She was a member of the Kelso Eagles Auxiliary for many years. Minnie loved to play bingo and met many people there who became dear friends. She was always busy, sewing, beading, quilting and canning, spending many hours in her huge garden and was generous in sharing all her produce and raspberries. Minnie was proud of her Indian heritage and enjoyed meeting with her Native American friends.

Minnie is survived by her children and their spouses, Art and Sharon Sartwell of Aberdeen, Esther and Bruce Hoime of Silver Lake, Debra and Vern Rohn of Longview, Cindy and Gary Koenig of Lexington, Diane and Ed Bromley of Springfield, Ore., Gary and Judy Driscoll of Collierville, Tenn., and Buck and Joyce Croy of Lexington; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. Minnie is also survived by a sister, Viola I. Dyer of Toledo and many special nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Minnie's life will be announced at a later date.
