New Concord--Kathryn Arlene Addy, 67, of Norwich, died Monday (June 13,2005) at Genesis Hospice, Morrison House, Zanesville.
Mrs. Addy was a devoted wife and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will forever be remembered for her loving smile and for warming the hearts of everyone she ever met. She was truly a blessing to her family and friends and will be sadly missed by all.
She was born Feb. 24, 1938, in Zanesville, daughter of the late Chester Allen and Madeline Louise Johnson Littick. Mrs. Addy was an employee of the Norwich Post Office for more than 26 years, having served as clerk and later post master. She was a member of the Norwich United Methodist Church, a former member of the Children's Conservation League of Norwich and was a graduate of New Concord High School.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Kathleen J. West.
She leaves her husband, Glenn A. Addy, whom she married Aug. 14, 1955; two sons, Jay Addy and Jeff (Judy) Addy. both of Norwich; a brother, Richard L. (Barbara) Littick of Rocky Mount, N. C.; and three grandsons, Kyle Addy, Jeremy Addy and Jamison Addy.
Mock-Miller Funeral Home, New Concord, handled the arrangements. Services were Thursday at Norwich United Methodist Church with the Revs. Roy Yody and Wayne Hogue officiating. Burial was in Norwich United Presbyterian Cemetery.
