Samuel is the son of John S. Sebree and Sarah Endicott Sebree.
Sam married Mary Elizziebeth Whitworth, June 19, 1892 in Douglas County, Missouri. Sam and Lizzie were blessed with six children, one died at a early age.
Lizzie passed in 1907 and Sam remarried Margaret Ellen Galbrith Lawson.
He was a well know man in Kansas City, Missouri, if for no other reason than for people to notice what a big man he was. He stood about six feet, 4 inches tall and weighed about three hundred pounds. He was a patrolman for the Kansas City Police Departent from 1910 to 1921 There was a picture in the Kansas City Star of Sam Sebree, the biggest man on the Kansas City Police Force and another gentleman, the smallest man, being a Fireman. At his death he worked as a night watchman for the City Street Repair Department.
