Evangeline "Eva" M. Pennington, 92, of Creston, formerly of Corning, died Oct 31, 2003, at the University of Nebraska Medical Ceneter in Omaha, Neb.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov 4, at the Coen-Beatty-Pearson Family Funeral Service, 701 Seventh St., Corning. The Rev. Andrew Rubenking will officiate the service. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery at Corning. Open Visitation will be 2 to 6 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to service time Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the Lung or Cancer associations.
Mrs. Pennington, daughter of Cressie (Ungry) and Adin Boelling, was born Jan. 26, 1911, in Mills County. On Jan 9, 1935, she married Wesley O. Pennington in Corning. She worked for a number of years at Johnson Cafe, Home Bakery, John's Diary, and Colonial Manor. She lived in Corning until moving to creston in 1989.
Survivors include two daughters, Deloma (husand Harry) Pearis and Dorothy (husband Neil) Riggle; a son, Wesley (wife Nancy) Pennington Jr; a sister-in-law Doris Roach; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers and a grandson.
