David J. Shapcott, 43, died April 16, 2004, in Las Vegas, where he lived for four years. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Shapcott; two stepsons, Justin and Douglas Boulier; and mother-in-law, Lucy Farwell. He was born in Bristol, England, where his mother, Hilda Shapcott and two sisters, Ann Smith and Joy Curtis still live. He was a devoted and loving husband, caring stepfather, treasured son and brother and dear friend. He worked at McCarren Airport slots, where he had many friends. He died after a courageous and brave battle with cancer at his home. Everyone that knew him felt honored to be associated with him. He will be missed greatly and loved always. No services will be held. His body was donated to the International Institute for the Advancement of Medicine. Memorial donations may be made to I.I.A.M or Solari Hospice Care.
