MULESHOE - Dee Brown, 90, died Tuesday, April 20, 2004.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Muleshoe Church of Christ with Jimmy McGuire of Lubbock officiating. Burial will be in Bailey County Cemetery with Barry Wiseman officiating.

Mr. Brown was born Oct. 26, 1913, in McMinn County, Tenn. He married Dorothy Harris on Aug. 15, 1937, in Clovis, N.M. He had lived in the Muleshoe area since 1930, moving from Vernon. He attended the Methodist Church. He was a 32nd Degree Mason in the Valley of Lubbock, Orient of Texas, where he was a charter member and received his 50-year pin. He was a charter member and served on the board of the Muleshoe Country Club. Dee was also a sponsor for 4-H and served in the Army during World War II.

He was preceded in death by his wife on April 8, 1990; his parents; two sisters; and four brothers.

Survivors include two sons, James Brown and wife, Dianne, and Mac Brown, all of Muleshoe; seven grandchildren, Stephanie Wright, Russell Brown, Brandon Brown, B.J. Brown, Courtney Ware, Jana Finke and Debbie Schulze; 11 great-grandchildren; a stepbrother, Carl Deaton of Clovis; and three stepsisters, Betty Johnson of Idaho, and Dorothy Baldridge and Elsie Van Zee, both of California.

The family suggests memorials be to New Mexico Christian Children's Home, 1356 New Mexico 236, Portales, NM 88130-9411.
