Former Ottumwa resident Clarence L. LaPointe, 85, of Midland, Texas, died Feb. 3, 1984, in Midland Memorial Hospital.
He was born Sept. 9, 1898, at Davis City to Frank and Elma Hockert LaPointe. He was a retired Sinclair Oil Company Refinery employee. He married Elizabeth Brandon on Feb. 7, 1931. She died July 9, 1963.
He is survived by a sister, Leora Walker of Ottumwa.
The service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Johnson Funeral Chapel, the Rev. Wilbur Trusheim of Willard Street United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Round Point Cemetery in Wapello County. Visitation will be Sunday morning at the funeral chapel.
