Obituary
The funeral of Mrs. Tillie L. King Perkins of 72 Atwater St., who died Tuesday in a local convalescent hospital, will be held Thursday morning at 8:15 from the Sisk Brothers Funeral Home, 123 Dwight St. A requiem high mass will be celebrated at 9 in St. Francis Church. Burial will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery, West Haven.
Widow of Henry T. Perkins, she was born in New Haven, daughter of the late John and Margaret McMahon King. Mrs. Perkins was active in the Democratic party here for more than 35 years.
She was a communicant in St. Francis Church and a member of the church's Altar Society; past president of the ladies auxiliary of the Philip J. Brady Post 787, Veterans of Foreign Wars; and a member of the ladies auxiliary of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Chapter 12.
She leaves three daughters, Mrs. Helen Forsyth of Hamden, Mrs. Dorothy Mancavage of California and Mrs. Leonelda Sullivan of Wallingford; two sons, Henry V. Perkins of New Haven and John F. Perkins of California; and a brother, Martin A. King of New Haven.
