BROWN, DAVID C. died 22 Apr 1977
David C. Brown, 95, of Rt. 1 Winfield, passed away in the Scott County Nursing Home, Friday evening April 22. He was the son of the late Harrison Brown and the late Lucy Stanfill Brown. He had retired from the Southern Railroad and was a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Survivors: two sons: Artist Brown of Winfield, Roy Brown of Denver, Colorado, his wife; Rebecca Brown and two daughters: Pernie Brown, Edith Brown preceded him in death, Sister: Eva Mitchell of Wooster, Ohio, four grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, host of nephews, other relatives and friends. He was a wonderful father, grandfather, great-grandfather and was loved by all who knew him. Funeral services were conducted from the Winfield Baptist Church 2 p.m. Monday April 25, with Rev. Wheeler Blevins and Rev. A.V. Stanley officiating. Burial in the Perkins Cemetery, Winfield. Pallbearers were: James Russell Brown, Kenneth Brown, David Brown, Sonny Terry, Greg Terry, Mike Terry.
