Funeral services for Bobbie "Buddy" Campbell, 76 of Ruston will be held Friday, August 20, 2010 in the chapel of Owens Memorial Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Brad Jones with burial following in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery near Choudrant.
Mr. Campbell was born March 21, 1934 in Choudrant and died August 18, 2010 in Ruston. He had been a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and a U.S. Navy veteran. He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Eugenia Campbell, three brothers and two sisters.
Mr. Campbell is survived by his wife Marjorie Campbell of Ruston; stepchildren, Terry and husband Robert Bailey of Hot Springs, Ark., Kerry and husband Tim Parnell of Simsboro and Drew Nolan and wife Honda of Simsboro; Ten grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Family members will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be Thursday, August 19, 2010 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made to the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
