John Edmund McBride 49, Maxwell died at his home of cancer Friday morning.
Service's will be 1:30 p.m. Monday Jan. 24th @ Maxwell United Methodist Church with Rev. Walden Paige officiating.
Burial will be at Iowa Center Cemetery.
Mr. McBride was born Sept. 27, 1933 in Nevada to Russell & Louise McBride.
He served in the US Army during the Korean War.
He was united in marriage June 9, 1953 in Maxwell to Shirley Riekena. They farmed in the Maxwell area.
He was a member of the Masons and the American Legion.
Survivors include his wife Shirley; mother Louise McBride, daughters, Jodi Cortez Des Moines, Jaynee Christian Story City; Julie Cory Elkhart sisters Joan Halterman Greenwood, SC Janet Tyrell Redland, CA and Judith See Anderson, SC.
He is preceded in death by his father Russell McBride & son John McBride.
Visitation will be at Cooper Funeral Home in Maxwell will begin at 1 p.m.
