Lester "Andy" Anderton, age 83, of Marietta, GA died Thursday, March 14, 2012. Funeral services will be 1 PM, Saturday, March 17th in the Chapel of Carmichael Funeral Home in Marietta with Rev. Joel Anderton officiating. Entombment will be in Cheatham Hill Memorial Park.
Mr. Anderton was a native of Lawrence County, AL and had lived in Cobb County since 1965. He worked for the Atlanta Journal and Constitution as an Ad Compositor for 22 years before retiring. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Florence, AL. Mr. Anderton was preceded in death by his parents, Preston Anderton & Ida Gargis Anderton; brother Austin Anderton; sister, Lillie Jane Borden; & granddaughter, Sarah Caldwell.
