Funeral services for Clarence W. Barney, 54, a resident of Rice Lake seven years, were held at 1 pm. Wednesday at the Hyllengren Funeral Home, with the Rev. Elmer L. Cooper officiating. Burial was at the Milltown cemetery. Mr. Barney passed away Sunday at the home of a friend in Canton Sunday. He was taken ill and died of a heart attack before a doctor could arrive.
Mr. Barney was born Oct. 9, 1886, at Blunt, S. D. He had been a salesman for Bick Bros. seven years. Surviviing are three sons, Harley and Milo, Appleton, and Ray, Janesville: and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Thornson, Windom, Minn, and Mrs. Elizabeth Kiel, Hankinson, Minn. His former wife, Christine Barney lives at Appleton.
