My great Uncle Nes died in the great flu epidemic. His nephew, Roland, son of his brother, Joseph, died 11 days before him. Uncle Nes is buried in the same crypt as his father and several other relatives. Underneath this tomb there is a large pit where the bones of the previously deceased relatives bones were dropped when a new body was placed in the above ground crypt.

"ERNEST ALTON MORAN PASSES AWAY."

"Ernest Alton Moran, an employee at the L. & N. freight depot for several years, died this morning at 5:15 o'clock, after an illness of several weeks. The deceased was 34 years of age at the time of his death, a native of Seymour, and a resident of Biloxi for the past eight years. The funeral was held from his late residence, 911 Reynoir street, at 3 p.m. today, Rev. Father Alphonse Ketels conducting the service. Interment at Moran cemetery in Seymour. The deceased leaves a family and a large number of relatives and friends to mourn his untimely death."

Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Records: Nes as 34 years, 3 months, 29 days old when he died at his home, 911 Reynoir St., Biloxi, from pneumonia secondary to influenza. He was a clerk in the railroad office. He was the son of Joseph Moran and Catherine Abbley.
