Carlo "Carl" Bellina age 88 of Sayreville passed away Thursday March 15th 2012 at Saint Peters Medical Center, New Brunswick surrounded by his loving family. Born in Newark he has resided in Sayreville since 1970. Before his retirement 35 years ago he was employed at Port Newark as a long shoremen for 28 years and was a member of the International Long Shoremen Local 1235. Mr. Bellina was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II serving in the 206 engineers in the Battle of the Bulge under General Patton. He was a member of Our Lady of Victory Knights of Columbus Council 2061, the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Stroke Club and a communicant of Our Lady of Victories R. C. Church in Sayreville.

Carl is predeceased by his son Gene Bellina in 2005. Surviving are his wife of 66 years Julia (nee Ermola)Bellina, his children and their spouses Carol & Alan White of Wynne, AK and Carl & Elaine Bellina of Sayreville, his grandchildren David White, Jennifer & Anthony Bolton, Erin White, Nicole & James Moore, Michelle Bellina, Kristen & Thomas Ferraro and Kaitlen Bellina, his great grandchildren Gene and Madison Moore, his sister in law Carmella Bellina of Piscataway, his brother & sister in laws Anthony & Marion Consolo of Parlin and many nieces & nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday 8:45am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane Parlin followed by a 9:30am mass at Our Lady of Victories R. C. Church in Sayreville with burial to follow at New Calvary Cemetery, Parlin
