Mary Jo Arwood Stolz, 88, of Hixson, TN, passed away Friday, March 16, 2012 in a local health care facility.
She was born July 15, 1923 in Chattanooga, TN to the late Joseph and Clara Arwood.
She was a member of the 78th Recon Division and was of the Baptist faith.
Her husband, Charles C. Stolz; and brother, David L. Arwood preceded her in death.
Survivors include her son, Charles (Mary) Stolz, of Hixson, TN; daughter, Clara (Dr. Hooshang) Hooshmand, of Vero Beach, FL; grandchildren, Eva Marie (Peter) Finkelstein, Zara (Ron) Myers, Mary Margaret (Chris) Trent, Jenny (Robert) Metcalf, Mary Beth (Randy) Nicholson, and Charlotte Stolz; great-grandchildren, Charley, Ross, Rudy, Cameron, Christa, David, Kevin and Caroline.
A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. today, March 17, 2012, at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
