OMAHA--Wilma Donald, 89, formerly of Grand Island, died Saturday at an Omaha hospital.
Services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the chapel of the First Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Robert Wade officiating. There will be no visitation. Burial will be in the Grand Island Cem.
Memorials are suggested to the First Presbyterian Church. Apfel-Butler-Geddes Funeral Home is in charge of services.
Mrs. Donald was born Aug. 1, 1896, to Elmer and Fanny Dorsey Williams at O'Neill. She grew up and began her education at O'Neill. She furthered her education at the Lake Forest Academy at Lake Forest, Ill.
She married Lawrence G. Donald on May 29, 1917, at Fremont. The couple made their home in Grand Island.
Mr. Donald died Aug. 20, 1934. After his death, Mrs. Donald continued to live in Grand Island until two years ago, when she moved to Omaha. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Grand Island.
Survivors include three grandchildren, Richard Olwine of Salt Lake City, Utah and Mrs. Jon Margaret Hoffmaster and Susan Olwine, both of Omaha, plus four great grandchildren, John Olwine, James Olwine, Margaret Hoffmaster and Elizabeth Hoffmaster.
She was preceded in death by a son, John and a sister*, Margaret Olwine and a brother, Morris Williams.
*Margaret Olwine is actually her daughter according to the obit of her husband.
