Madeline Doris Catlett
1921 - 2012

Madeline Doris Catlett, 90 years, of Dundee, died in her home Friday, March 16, while under the care of Mercy Memorial Hospice of Monroe. Friends may call at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Ida, on Monday from 10 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 12 PM. Rev. Dr. Michael Woroniewicz will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Ida.

Born May 21, 1921, in Wyandotte, MI, she was the daughter of Columbus and Ida May (Eberts) SanSouci, and was the youngest of twelve children. She married William "Ernie" Catlett, December 4, 1940, in Wyandotte. He died in 1983. They had been married nearly forty years. Madeline was employed by Chrysler Motors, in Trenton, MI, for 13 years, retiring in 1983. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church, the Christian Mothers, Dundee Senior Citizens, and the UAW Local 372, Trenton. Madeline loved crossword puzzles, playing cards, casino's, and being with her grandchildren.

Surviving are: her daughter, Florence (Kenneth) King; grandchildren, Kenneth (Michelle) King, Joseph (Debbie) King, Ann Marie (Thomas) Burke; eleven great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers and five sisters.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions to Mercy Memorial Hospice of Monroe or St. Joseph's Church.
