Acie is the son of Jake (Jacob) and Anna Eliza Latier Heitman.

First wife was Bessie Jane McGonigle and they had three daughters, Hazel, Bettie and Margaret . Bettie died when she was six years old.

He and Mae owned and operated Heitman Concrete Construction Co. in Kansas City, Missouri that formed, poured and finished a lot of concrete in the Country Club Plaza area after their marriage in 1944. They moved to Butler in 1963, where they owned and operated a farm raising Black Angus cattle.
He leaves his wife Mrs Mae Heitman of the home; two daughters Mrs Margaret Blasor Olathe, and Mrs Hazel Oehler, St Louis; 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 1:30 pm. Friday at the Underwood-Steinbeck Chapel, Butler; buial in Greenlawn Cemetery, Rich Hill Mo.
